Eric Bellamy
President/Executive Director
Eric Bellamy is the president of Bridgewater Academy, a non-profit organization that encompasses the Stay-Focused Mentoring Program, directed to student-athletes. A program that Bellamy developed to work in collaboration with school districts and colleges providing assistance, support, and encouragement to student-athletes desiring to pursue higher education while utilizing athletics. Bellamy also established and manages the K.K. Berane Bobcats II, a second division European basketball organization located in Montenegro. Bellamy’s development of this team has provided an opportunity for players' exposure both locally and internationally.
After his nomination of the McDonalds All American Achievement Award, Bellamy decided to pursue his collegiate endeavors of a Communications Degree at Boise State University. Given the title of Street and Smith’s Magazine's top ten recruits, Bellamy did not disappoint by winning two conference championships and a dual NCAA bid. Bellamy’s passion for the game of basketball combined with his pursuit of a Multidisciplinary Studies degree, self-discipline, and training have thoroughly prepared him to provide the proper guidance, encouragement, and understanding needed for those who may experience challenges while in pursuit of athletic and educational goals. As a former student-athlete, Bellamy fully understands the need to encourage young athletes to continue to follow their dreams and believes that "Jesus gives every child a gift." The Bridgewater-Stay Focused Mentor Program intends to assist youth who are in need to reach their full potential.
